In this spot for VanLaningham & Assoc. we took on the disturbing and sensitive issue of nursing home neglect and abuse. I knew we needed to go further than building awareness for the problem - we needed people to feel the pain caused by this disturbing issue. In this spot we hear from a woman describing the abuse and neglect of person you would assume is a prisoner in a third world country. Not until the end does she reveal this person is not a prisoner but her own grandmother. The spot worked well in building awareness for the issue and positioning VanLaningham as trustworthy concerned ally. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to write and direct the campaign.
